PART OF THE TEAM...
Coach Alan Massey
Alan has recenetly become a part of the team at Apex. Alan ran a team in Openshaw manchester called Sporting Dynamite which unfortunately shut down during COVID. Since Alan has came to us Apex has welcomed members from sporting dynamite and put them into our teams at Apex. Sporting dynamite was founded in 2009 by Alan and was a very successful club!
Since being part of Apex, Alan has got well and truly stuck in! letting use his equiptment and offering support to our members. Alan is now welcome to help us coach any sessions at Apex and you will be seeing him a lot during sessions...
We know that we will learn so much from Alan.
Coach Katie Armstrong
Coach Katie has been helping Apex for a few years now!
Kate has years of experience as a coach, a cheerleader
herself and a UKCA judge. As well as a big cheer background
Katie is also a qualified burns nurse, what ever time katie has spare she comes down and dedicates that spare time to Apex. Katie has really helped us move forward and make so much change as a team this year and we are so greatful for all the support she gives to us. In 2024 Katie will be attending Barcelona with our juniors AND competing as an athlete representing TEAM UK in Milan!
ASSISTANT COACHES
Jacie Hallam
Jacie stepped us as a assistant coach in 2023. She assists as many classes from Tiny's to seniors and even our classes in New Mills. Jacie has obtained her UKCA level 2 coaching qualifications and this year will be doing a coaching apprenticeship with progressive sports to further her coaching career. Jacie has such a passion for working with the kids and coaching. she truly loves every Apexer that walks through our doors.
Emily Page
Emily is also a new member to the team, she came to
Apex knowing that as much as wanting to cheer
herself she really wanted to assist with our little ones.
On her first week she began lessons and got stuck in
with our Teenies Cheerleaders, Apex Goldstar.
Since working with them she has struck up great
relationships with them and has fit in really well, she makes a great role model to our younger members.
EVIE-LEA DERBYSHIRE
Evie is new to coaching this season! since then she has worked with Apex Titan our junior team, helping to lead them to two first place trophies! Evie is also part of both our senior teams Spitfire and Hunter working her way up from being one of Apexes orginal Junior A's herself. In 2024 Evie acheived a national title with our senior coed level 4 stunt team and will be heading to Milan to represnt Team UK!
SANDRA DANQUAHOVA
Sandra has been cheerleading for many years! She started off at Sporting Dynamites with Alan but has now found a home with us at Apex. Sandra helps to coach our Junior teams on a Thursday and brings so much confidence and strength to our girls in that class.
Sandra's hard work ethic shines through her coaching and competing herself as an athlete. Sandra will also be represnting Team UK with Apex Raven our masters in Milan 2024
